It’s the last piece of private property before entering the Nez Perce national Forest. This cabin is backed up to 2,000,000 acres of wilderness. 1 mile up the road you enter into Hells Canyon and the snake river. At Pittsburgh Landing, where there is and are many jet boat tours, and fishing trips you’re only 7 miles away from the boat launch. This road is maintained year round. Amazing place to Birdwatch, forge for mushrooms, huckleberries, and wild fruit trees all over. Amazing place to hike starting at Pittsburgh Landing. There’s a trail that goes 26 miles up to Hells Canyon Dam along the river along the way there are several stops such as Kirkwood Ranch, where there’s a museum back from the 1800s . If you drive out Cow Creek Road at the end of the road there’s a trail that goes to the seven Devils, which has many lakes for fly fishing and hiking . The snake river provides many rafting trips and they usually pull out at Pittsburgh Landing 7 miles from the cabin .The Fishing is amazing in the snake River, smallmouth, bass, rainbow trout, steelhead, salmon, and sturgeon. If you’re a hunter, there’s plenty of game in the area everything from Upland gamebirds such as chucker and Quail. mountain grouse, ruffle, blue grouse, and turkeys. Also for big game there’s Whitetail deer, mule deer and elk. The cabin is located in area 13 and across the road is area 18 there is no hunting on the private property. You must go to the national forest to hunt. Other things to note The property offers a fish cleaning station., a picnic table and a horseshoe pit.
