Water levels are generally lowered during the fall and winter months and begin rising again in the spring with rainfall and runoff. For the most current lake information, visit TVA Lake Levels – Douglas Reservoir. Best Times for Swimming: ☀️ May: Cooler water with fewer crowds ☀️ June – August: Prime swimming season with warm water and ideal conditions ☀️ September: Warm water and lighter crowds ☀️ October: Cooler temperatures with pleasant days for outdoor activities Swimming Safety Tips: • Swim in designated swimming areas when possible • Be aware of boats and jet skis on the water • Use life jackets for children • Avoid swimming near boat ramps and marinas • Never dive into unfamiliar water • Check weather conditions before heading out For the most accurate and up-to-date lake level information, we recommend checking the TVA website directly.
