Private Studio in Historic Home

We are renting a private studio attached to our house - with it's own private entrance and en-suite bathroom. The room is furnished with a queen-size bed and a custom made Cypress work desk. Our home is a historic 1910s New Orleans home with all original hardwood and features - including a wrap around porch. Centrally located in Broadmoor, you have access to most of the city in 15 min or less. The space Our house is an original New Orleans home built in 1910 and retains many of it's original features, including hard wood floors, high ceilings, windows, and bargeboard siding in places. The home was raised after Hurricane Katrina to alleviate flooding. The home is in the Historic Broadmoor neighborhood of New Orleans and is centrally located in the city. My husband and I recently bought the house as our first home (we just got married!) and are excited to make it ours, and share it with you! *This is an old home with quirks and kinks. It has wood floors that creak. It has had many many lives. Please do not book with us if you expect perfection, complete silence, or concierge service! That's what hotels are for! We are always on hand to help as best as we can but please understand what we are offering!* Guest access Guests of the studio will have access to the full bedroom and en suite bathroom through your own private entrance along the porch. You have a table and chairs just outside your studio door, on the porch, just for your use. We provide coffee, tea, water, cups, plates, bowls and silverware for you to use during your stay. We aim to provide a low-waste service, so we do not put cream in your room for coffee/tea, but are happy to provide it when asked. Access to our kitchen, and "permanent provisions" (a stove, oven) available - please inquire. During your stay My husband and I live in the main part of the house, but both work in hospitality which means long days (he is a chef, I manage a restaurant). So, there are long stretches of the day where we will not be home. You will likely only see us coming or going. When home, we are social and happy to chat, but also respect the desire to be secluded if that is your preference. Other things to note Smoking is allowed outside. We have two black cats - Ripley and Rose - who are inside/outside cats. They love attention and will probably try to come into your studio if you leave the door open. Please don't let them! But you are welcome to give them love on the porch. If you're not a cat person, just ignore them and they will not bother you!
