Cozy Townsend cabin, in the woods!

Beautiful, private cabin in the woods. Just minutes away from the Smokies, in Townsend. Welcome to our family's cabin! We are so excited to share it with you. We manage our own cabin, taking extra care of it and you too! With a modern leather sectional sofa & chair, a wall of Magnolia Home's fern wallpaper, we decorated with guests in mind! The mattresses & pillows are in waterproof, bed bug proof, hypoallergenic zipped protectors. Come wrap up in a cozy blanket in front of the fire! The space 2 Bedroom/2 Bathroom cabin located in beautiful Laurel Valley Community. Welcome to Mossy Fern!! This 2 bedroom/2 full bath cabin has just be redecorated with your vacation in mind. The open concept living area is spacious and cozy with a gas fireplace, sectional sofa and fully equipped kitchen. What a beautiful space!! All on one level, Mossy Fern is great for two couples or a small family. One bedroom features a king bed, bathroom, dresser and closet and the other bedroom has a queen bed, and dresser. Both have very comfortable mattress and linens with protectors. The queen bedroom does have a chest of drawers & tv. Both bedrooms have a ceiling fan & sound machines. There are two bathrooms. One in the hallway with a large jetted bath tub. The other is off the living area by the kitchen, living room & dining area. It has a bathtub & shower combo. Outside you will find a large deck with lots of privacy. Come outside and cook on the grill, eat at the table and soak in the relaxing HOT TUB. The front deck has chairs and a table for enjoying that late night glass of wine or early morning cup of Java! The driveway is not long but considered steep with a relatively flat space at the top for 2 vehicles. Our Honda Accord & Truck both drive up it well with a little extra gas. We have tried to show the driveway in the listing photos the best we can. This cabin is located in Townsend TN just outside of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The closest National Park entrance is just 10 minutes away. It is 40 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 50 minutes from Gatlinburg. You will find lots to do like zip lining, horseback riding, sight seeing, river tubing and much much more just minutes from the cabin. Mossy Fern comes with FREE seasonal swim privileges at the Wild Laurel Country Club and year round usage of the fitness center. The clubhouse has a pool table, gym & pool. There is a pool fee : 12 & under $10, over 12 is $15. **We provide towels for the cabin, but not for the pool. Bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, kitchen towels & kitchen wash cloth provided. Please pack your own beach towels for the pool. IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check in or outs on Holidays. This includes: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. NO PETS ALLOWED OF ANY KIND, IN THIS CABIN. Please note that the primary renter must be at least 24 years old. Check-In: CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN *4pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin Check-Out: *11am - Please follow our check out guidelines. Fireplaces: *On During: October 1st - April 1st Common Concerns: *Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins require a 4 wheel drive under normal weather conditions but some do in inclement weather. *TV & WiFi: We do have TV's and WiFi in most all of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem. *Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Please let us know if they are causing trouble, we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt or approach any wildlife. This is their home and we are the visitors. *Bears: There are black bears that live in these mountains. They do walk through the neighborhood. They will open your vehicle doors & check for food inside. PLEASE LOCK YOUR VEHICLE DOORS. Guest access Enjoy this entire cabin on an acre to yourself! It is located in the Laurel Valley Resort with seasonal access to the clubhouse pool & year around access to the fitness center! We pay a membership so that guests can access the pool, however they have added an additional fee. For kids 12 & under it is $10. For adults the fee is $15. Other things to note No pets allowed. 4 guest maximum. This is due to space. The couch is not a pull out couch. The bedrooms do not have enough space for an air mattress. There are black bears in the area. Lock your vehicle doors or they will open the doors in search of snacks. There is a pool fee : 12 & under $10, everyone else $15.
