Settle in to our SPACIOUS mountain cabin nestled among the blooming laurels. Explore our flowing mountain spring or play games in our TWO entertainment rooms. Townsend is a mountain getaway town with incredible restaurants and attractions, but without the traffic. On top of it all, Townsend is CLOSER to Cades Cove than any other town, and world-famous little river rafting is right in town. If you do choose to head to the other mountain hot spots- it’s a beautiful drive to and from PF and Gburg. One for grown ups, one for kids. ⛱️ The pool is seasonally available at the Wild Laurel golf course club house - one visit per short stay is paid for, two visits for longer stays 🛺 Golf clubhouse with a public course (you might see a bear and hit a hole in one and the same day!) less than a mile away. 🚗 No scary roads! Laurel Valley resort is located in a valley with rolling hills and we specifically chose a property with easy access in and out. The front entrance is sometimes gated and guarded depending on the season- for added security for residents and guests. We will send codes and access information if needed. Parking is available in front of the house on the level road pull-off. We estimate 3+ cars can fit here (exact measurements and photos coming soon). There is also a gravel driveway behind the house, which is an option for parking, but please be careful because there are some steep spots along the side of the driveway. Because we offer parking in front of the house, owners are not liable for accidents occurring in the driveway. 🏎️🛻🚙 We have a garage! Feel free to use for your bikes kayaks or whatever else you brought to thoroughly enjoy Townsend and the little river! Wild Laurel Golf Club is proud to be Audubon International Certified, maintaining environmentally sound practices. At Wild Laurel, we offer an 18-hole, par 70, golf course. Other things to note The pool recently changed its policy to a pay-per-visit, even though we pay a membership fee as well. We will pay for one visit per stay for shorter stays (four days and under) and two visits for longer stays. We provide a starter kit of amenities like toilet paper and paper towels and coffee. We don’t provide charcoal because groups use various amounts. Once you’re settled it’s good to plan to make a trip to the store for these things that are beyond what we leave in the house- we do feel like we leave a generous starter amount.
