Welcome to The Little Black Cottage, your perfect Lake Lure getaway. Just 5 minutes from Chimney Rock State Park and so many fun spots. This charming retreat features a king bedroom, a full bathroom with a soaker tub, a cozy queen sofa sleeper, and an updated kitchenette with a Nespresso maker. The outdoor living area is a highlight, complete with a propane firepit, Blackstone griddle, and a top-of-the-line hot tub. Enjoy a perfect blend of comfort and luxury in a prime location! The space Kitchenette: - Appliances: Small fridge and freezer, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker (supplied with a few pods), drip coffee maker, hot plate, and toaster oven. - Dining: Table seating for up to 4. - Stocked Items: Cooking utensils, some pots and pans, plates, bowls, and glasses. Cleaning Supplies: - Stocked with paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, multi purpose spray & a broom and dustpan. Bathroom: - Features: Soaker tub and shower. - Amenities: Shampoo, body wash, blow dryer, fresh towels, and washcloths. Entertainment: - Smart TV in the living room, multiple board games, and card games! Courtyard: - Features a cozy hot tub, a Blackstone griddle, six-person outdoor dining table, comfortable seating, propane fire pit **The porch area is not fully enclosed. Pet Policy: - Maximum: 2 pets. - Fees: $30 for each pet. Local Activities: - Chimney Rock: 2 miles away. - Asheville: 45 minutes to downtown. - Asheville Regional Airport: 40 minutes away. - Biltmore Estate: 45 minutes away. Wifi Notice: Lake Lure is in a mountain setting with wifi service that is typically very good, but it can sometimes be slow or temporarily go out. During storms there may also be power outages and internet disruptions, though the power company provides restoration timeframes. While we hope neither of these things will impact your stay, we want to keep you informed just in case! Kayak Safety and Life Jackets: Life jackets are required at all times when using the kayaks. We provide four adult life jackets and two children’s life jackets in different sizes. The beautiful Chimney Rock State Park and mountain trails are open, and the quaint, riverside town of Chimney Rock is welcoming visitors to its many shops and restaurants. The lake is open for boating and swimming. The patio area is not fully fenced in. December-March has the potential to bring snow and ice, please consider your vehicle capability when booking during this time. NATURE NOTE: Being surrounded by the woods means you’re truly one with nature! While we do have regular pest control, you may still encounter a few adventurous insects. We try to accommodate early check in’s for $25 per hour and can confirm only on the day of check in. Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate late check outs. Unapproved early check-in or late check-out will result in a $50 hourly fee. Shipping to the house is not guaranteed, since the home is not a primary residence, mail is forwarded.
