Other things to note As much as we adore pets, we regret that we cannot allow them to accompany you during your stay. Kindly respect this policy, as a $500 fee will be charged if a pet is brought onto the property. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. Evidence of smoking or vaping will result in a $1,000 additional sanitation & odor-removal cleaning fee. Two areas remain off-limits to guests: 1) owners closet in the lower level bedroom and 2) storage shed in driveway. Important: Access between levels requires using a charming but narrow/steep spiral staircase. This may not be appropriate for large luggage, young children, elderly guests, or anyone with mobility limitations. The roads leading to the cabin are paved & well maintained. Please note that they can be steep in certain areas and may become slick during inclement weather. If you’re unfamiliar with mountain driving, allow extra time for your arrival and plan to reach the cabin before dusk for the most comfortable experience. Please enjoy the wood fire pit! As a safety precaution, please do not leave an open flame unattended and when finished please ensure the fire is completely out before leaving the area. Guests are expected to bring their own firewood. This is a semi-remote retreat in the mountains which means there are spiders, spiderwebs, wildlife, and insects that you will interact with as they are part of the ecosystem. Refunds will not be given for encountering wildlife. Bears are active in the area and frequent visitors to the cabin, but have remained respectful towards humans. It is required to always keep a safe distance and enjoy them from afar - and keep car doors locked when unattended!
