Adult-Oriented Environment: The home is designed entirely for independent adult travelers. It is completely unchildproofed and contains multiple physical hazards for infants and young children (such as open staircases, sharp modern decor, low-accessible outlets, and unsecured fragile items). AIR CONDITIONING & TEMPERATURE This home has central air conditioning. During warmer weather, the AC automatically turns on when the indoor temperature reaches approximately 79°F or higher. We generally aim to keep the home around 74–76°F. If you prefer or require your room to remain significantly colder than this, please keep this in mind before booking. On cooler or mild days, when the outdoor temperature is already comfortable enough to naturally cool the home, the AC will automatically turn off and windows can be used for ventilation. For example, if it is around 74°F outside, we may use the cooler outdoor air rather than run the AC. During periods of extreme heat or heat waves, especially when outdoor temperatures reach the high 80s or 90s+, the AC will be running. However, it may take longer to cool the home, and upstairs bedrooms may temporarily be warmer than our normal range even while the AC is running. We work hard to keep our rooms affordable, especially for guests looking for a budget-friendly stay in Chicago.
