Turning Tide is the ground-floor one-bedroom, and it's the one we send dog owners to — no stairs, and about a hundred yards of sidewalk between the front door and the Atlantic. Two minutes, towel over the shoulder. The space It sleeps two in a queen with cotton linens, firm and soft pillows and good bath towels, with one full bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked — Keurig with pods, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, a blender, dishes, cookware, dish soap and paper towels — and a fold-out dining table keeps the room open when you're not using it. There's a washer and dryer in the unit, which is the difference between a long weekend and a proper week. Smart TV with Netflix and Prime (use your own logins), a sound machine, a fast WiFi, and beach towels and chairs already waiting by the door. Salt Life Food Shack is a two-minute walk for seafood after a beach day, Mellow Mushroom is right there, and Refinery is three minutes if you want an oceanview dinner. The pier is an eight-minute walk, Publix is two minutes in the car, Mayo is ten and TPC Sawgrass seventeen. Guest access Keyless check-in on your own schedule, one dedicated parking space, and easy free street parking. You will have access to all the house and can use its amenities. Beach is just 2 min away. Other things to note This building has stood a block from the Atlantic for a long time, and we've kept its character rather than gutting it — so you'll find original details, a floor that isn't perfectly level, and the small quirks that come with an older beach building. Everything works, everything is spotless, and the beds are genuinely comfortable. But it's a well-loved older building rather than new construction, and sound travels the way it does in older buildings. Heron sits on the ground floor with a rental unit above it, so you'll hear footsteps overhead now and then. If you're after brand-new finishes and total silence, this probably isn't your match. If you want an honest Jax Beach place you can walk out of and be in the ocean two minutes later, you'll be very happy here.
