The space The Lost Pines Loft has been completely refreshed and reimagined as Mombo’s Loft @ Lost Pines — the same cool, spacious getaway with a brand-new look, the same great convenience, and an extra helping of charm. Named for our #1 Grandmother and all-time VIP — MOMBO — the loft was redesigned with a nod to her style, taste, and sophistication. The result is a warm, beautiful, one-of-a-kind space with plenty of personality and maximum privacy. At 635 square feet, the loft is located above our detached garage, and guests often tell us it feels even larger than the photos suggest. Think of it as your own private hotel suite, only with a lot more character. There’s a king-sized bed, a comfortable reclining sofa, and a 55” smart TV mounted above an electric fireplace — perfect for kicking back with a movie at the end of the day. You’ll also have a microwave, refrigerator, and K-cup coffee maker for added convenience. A sizable closet and private bathroom with shower round out the space. Because the loft sits above our detached garage and both outdoor spaces face away from the main house, you’ll enjoy an exceptional amount of privacy. Guests often tell us it’s the perfect place to get away while still being an easy drive to Austin or Bastrop whenever the mood strikes. We also host many guests attending events, conferences, weddings, and getaways at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort & Spa, located just about five minutes away. Mombo’s Loft offers the comfort and convenience of a hotel suite with far more privacy, personality, and charm. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire loft, featuring a king-sized bed and comfortable electric reclining sofa. The space sleeps two very comfortably and offers plenty of room to relax and unwind. Other things to note Please take a moment to check the map before booking so you know where we are in relation to the places you plan to visit. We’re located in a quiet, rural area, and we want to make sure our location is a good fit for your stay. We are approximately 15 minutes from COTA, the Formula 1 track, and Germania Amphitheater. Historic Bastrop is also about 15 minutes away, with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, and things to explore. We’re a little “Far Out,” but still only about 25–30 minutes from downtown and South Austin, where you can enjoy live music, great restaurants, and everything else the Live Music Capital of the World has to offer. The Loft is best suited for guests looking for a peaceful retreat rather than an in-town stay. One important note: the Loft does not have a kitchen or kitchen sink, so there is no practical way to cook, grill, prepare meals, or wash dishes and utensils. That said, we do provide a mini-fridge, microwave, water cooler, K-cup coffee maker, coffee, and a few complimentary snacks and easy breakfast options. Since nearby restaurant choices are somewhat limited beyond the Hyatt — unless you’re in the mood for BBQ or breakfast tacos — feel free to bring along a few provisions so you can settle in and enjoy the space without needing to head back out.
