It now appears with the 15.5% add-on that we, the hosts, are greedy and price gouging. The overall cost has changed — it’s bundled together to deceive the guests to thinking there are no service fees, and the hosts are over pricing. Also, the guest is charged tax on the nightly rate which includes the service fee. Before, Airbnb's new rule, the guest did not pay tax on the service fee.
