Stone's Throw Studio

Our bright & whimsical well appointed studio is just a stone's throw from the heart of Vashon Town (or uptown as we call it here). Walk to restaurants, live music, shops, the historic Vashon Theatre, Island Center Forest, and more from your own private courtyard getaway. Our studio includes a newly designed/fully equipped kitchen, a queen bed & lounge chair, a bar counter that doubles as a workspace, & modern pocket bathroom. A dedicated parking space leads directly to your gated entrance. The space Stone's Throw Studio is an attached ADU on our property located in a quiet cul de sac near town. During their stay, guests will have their own private entry along with a private deck, courtyard, & outdoor seating - including a hammock during the warmer months. Sensor lights will guide the way to the studio should guests arrive after dark. The porch light will automatically turn on at dusk. An awning will shield guests from the elements upon entry. The newly designed kitchen is fully equipped with a stove/oven, microwave, 24 inch Beko refrigerator, dishwasher, & deep 'laundry' sink & semi-professional pullout spray faucet - both by Blanco. Cookware/dishware & spices are also provided. Our modern & eco friendly pocket bathroom includes a Toto toilet, a small sink, & a full size shower equipped with a Kohler Purist shower heard. Waffle bath & hand towels are also provided along with essential bathroom amenities - including a hair dryer. The mattress is covered with a luxury adaptive foam mattress topper by Tuft & Needle - providing not too firm/not too soft comfort - & is outfitted with 100% cotton bedding. Please note that the bed is positioned against a wall (as shown in the photos). The studio is also equipped with a clothing iron and ironing pad, along with a clothes drying rack. Guest access Our house is located in quiet neighborhood a cul de sac close to town. There is a guest parking space in the driveway that leads to a gated entrance and there is a 3-step deck leading to the front door. A lockbox containing a key is located to the left of the door. Other things to note We use earth friendly/unscented cleaning products whenever possible. Our bed linens are 100% cotton, and are washed with Seventh Generation Sensitive Skin/Unscented laundry detergent. As shown in the listing photos, the bed is positioned against the wall to maximize space. Please contact the host if you would prefer to have the bed pulled out to accomodate two guests. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you should need for meal prep (including basic spices and olive oil. We do ask that nothing be borrowed/taken from the property during your stay. While we do not provide a coffee maker, we have options for either pour over or french press. Please note that the studio does not have a TV. A note regarding pricing: As of 9/15/26, Airbnb will be replacing the split fee model, with a host only service fee of 15.5%. This fee will be reflected in the total booking cost.
