Spacious, Vintage Hyde Park Apt.3

Located near Lake Michigan and in the University of Chicago neighborhood with easy access to transportation to the center of the City. The space Registration No. R23000112401 Our apartment is a third floor walk up in a lovely 1910 condo. The room is spacious, light, and quiet with an en suite bathroom. A ceiling fan and window AC are available for warm weather. The neighborhood is tree-lined and beautiful. It is a short walk to public transportation that will take you downtown in 15 minutes (the Metra train, and the#6 and #2 Express buses to the Loop). And we are a 5 minute walk from the lakefront bike and running path and several beaches. There are city rental bikes available on the way to the bike path. Hyde Park is the home of the University of Chicago,the Museum of Science and Industry, the Court Theater, the Smart Gallery, the Renaissance Gallery, and the Hyde Park Art Center, as well as President Obama’s residence. We are located about a mile from the University campus. Plenty of street parking is available near the apartment.. There are a variety of restaurants and cafes in walking distance. As your hosts we will make sure that you get any information you need to enjoy your trip. Coffee, tea, and a variety of cereal, fruit, and bread will be available for breakfast. An additional room is available for rent, if you need more space for one or two more family or friends, which shares your bathroom. You can contact us on Airbnb to discuss this option. Extra people in the room will be charged $15 per person per night. We have two labs, Ella, who is calm and friendly, and Finn, who is an energetic 1 to 2 year old, and are not ever allowed in the guestroom. Guest access Guests may use the refrigerator for limited groceries and the microwave and toaster. No cooking on the stove is permitted as we do a lot of cooking, especially in the evenings. And we prefer that guests don't eat in the bedroom as there is plenty of eating space in the kitchen/dining area. Other things to note Guest must be vaccinated and have had at least one booster shot. Dogs: Ella, the older lab, will always bark when you enter (and sometimes growl) but her tail is wagging and she is a sweetheart. Just talk to her. Finn is a big happy puppy and will greet you enthusiastically. We would appreciate it, if you don't let him jump (turn your back on him). He is very social and being trained. Water: You can drink the tap water and we keep filtered water in the frig. Help yourself. Guests: No outside guests please without prior permission.
