This tastefully decorated apartment has an aura of luxury. Located in Lincoln Square, this ground-floor 1-bedroom/1-bathroom pad for 2 people with a dedicated outdoor parking spot is waiting for you! The space Welcome to our tastefully decorated flat in Lincoln Square, where you can treat yourself to a dash of panache! We're less than a 5 minute walk away from grocery stores, restaurants, & cafés, making your stay super convenient. A 15 minute stroll will put you at the heart of either hip Lincoln Square or edgy Andersonville, both brimming with delightful culinary discoveries and entertainment venues. IMPORTANT UPDATE: Starting June 1st, 2026, bath towels and washcloths will no longer be provided. Hand towels and kitchen towels will still be available. Please remember to pack your own for your upcoming stay! Inside the apartment, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen (no dishwasher), a cozy king-sized bed, and 2 Roku TVs to keep you entertained during your downtime. With approximately 800 sq feet, this apartment is perfect for a couple looking to top off their wonderful stay in the second most beautiful city in the world (according to Time Out) and the “best big city in the US” (according to Condé Nast). We offer 1200 GB internet: 200 upload speed 1200 download speed. Official WiFi speed provided by Comcast. (Actual results on WiFi may differ from official speeds) If you're looking to explore downtown Chicago, the bus stop right on the corner of Western & Balmoral will take you directly to the Brown line station, where you can grab a train to downtown Chicago (total commute of about 1 hour) or you can get to downtown by car in about half an hour. We'd like to note that while we are technically part of the Lincoln Square neighborhood, we are not in the trendy part of the neighborhood, which is about a 15 minute walk. The section of Lincoln Square we're located in is called Bowmanville/Budlong Woods, as seen on the map. But fear not, as Andersonville, voted the “coolest neighborhood in the US” and “the second coolest in the world” by Time Out readers in 2022, is also about a 15 minute walk from the apartment (see screenshot at end of photos). Filled with hip restaurants, bars, cafés, specialty shops, and thrift stores, both Lincoln Square & Andersonville can provide a nice respite from the hectic pace of taking in Chicago’s surplus of highlight attractions. We want to be transparent with you and let you know that the apartment does not have a dishwasher or a washer/dryer. However, you do have access to the app-operated laundry on the same floor if you need it. Additionally, because this is an older building, you may hear the neighbors upstairs walking around, despite the fact that we have insulated above the ceiling. This might be annoying to noise-sensitive people, so you may want to bring a pair of noise-canceling headphones to make this site condition manageable. To help with this annoyance, we provide a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones for our guests along with alcohol swabs to sanitize them. You will find both Bose headphones on the coffee table along with the alcohol swabs. (If either one or both headphones disappear during your visit, we will be charging you to replace them just like if anything else in the home were missing.) Please see pics of headphones in last frames. Lastly, there are other renters on the floor who smoke, and you may smell the smoke in the common building hallway. It doesn’t bother the other unit owners or tenants, but if it might bother you, we wanted to mention it upfront to avoid dissatisfaction with your stay. To sum up, the kitchen does not have a dishwasher, and you have use of 1 parking spot. If you need more than 1 dedicated parking spot, you will find street parking possible but difficult. The unit has 2 wall air conditioners - one in the living room and one in the bedroom (not central air). Heat is supplied by the building through baseboards, and there is no in-unit thermostat control. Heat is typically adequate except if temps dip below 0 F, in which case we have space heaters to supplement. Prior guests have complained about the footsteps from the upstairs unit, so a noise machine or noise cancelling headphones might be an option you want to avail yourself as there is nothing we can do about this site condition. Just some important information before you decide to book so we know we are on the same page.. CHECK-IN SUPPORT ONLY AVAILABLE UNTIL 10PM Our check-in support hours are from 4pm to 10pm. If you think you'll be arriving after 10pm, please let us know so we can make sure to stay up and be available to help with any check-in problems you may encounter. We want to make sure your check-in goes smoothly, so we recommend checking out the "Check-In Instructions" section of our Airbnb listing before you arrive. We've found that most check-in issues are due to small errors, such as entering the code in the lockbox instead of the smart lock or not waiting long enough for the smart lock to reset. So double-check those instructions and you should be good to go! Of course, if you do run into any problems during check-in, don't hesitate to reach out to us. We'll do our best to help you out. Just keep in mind that if you check-in after 10pm and run into issues, we may not be able to help you until the next morning. So make sure to arrive on time to avoid any unnecessary stress. SUPPLIES We want to make sure you have everything you need to kick off your stay on the right foot. That's why we've prepared a pack of starter supplies for you to use during your first day - no need to rush to the store right away! If you need additional supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, or laundry detergent during your stay, you'll need to pick those up yourself. Don't worry, we won't charge you for the starter supplies, and we're sure you'll have a blast exploring the local stores! We won't be able to deliver supplies, but if you need any recommendations on where to find them, feel free to ask us. By booking, you acknowledge this and agree that no refunds will be issued for pest sightings. LONGER STAYS For reservations that last more than 7 days, we'll need to check the property every week to ensure everything is in tip-top shape. This is just a routine inspection and we'll work with you to schedule a convenient time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain the property during your extended stay. TV APPS Our Roku TVs are a great way to access apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and more during your stay. Please note that we don't have subscriptions to these apps or cable TV, but you can easily access them with your own account credentials. Just remember to log out of your accounts before checking out so that your account information remains secure. EARLY CHECK-INS/LATE CHECK-OUTS We totally get it, sometimes you just want to start your vacation early or take a little extra time to relax before heading out. We're happy to help make that happen, as long as it doesn't interfere with our cleaning schedule or any other guests' plans. Keep in mind that we won't be able to confirm your early check-in or late check-out until the day before your arrival or departure, and we do charge an hourly fee for this service, which must be paid in advance. So, shoot us a message the day before and we'll see what we can do! Thanks for understanding. NO PARTIES!/NO VISITORS We just wanted to give you a quick heads up that our property is not a party or event house. We've even hired a security firm to help us keep the peace and ensure everyone's safety while they're here. Please keep in mind that this is a residential neighborhood, so we do have to be extra careful about noise and other disturbances. If you do happen to violate our house rules and have an unauthorized party or gathering, we'll have to cancel your reservation and unfortunately, you won't be receiving any refunds. That would be sad. Also, just a reminder that only registered guests are allowed on the property. Visitors aren't permitted, and while we rarely exercise this right, we do reserve the right to enter the property if necessary. We even have 24/7 overseas monitoring of security cameras to help us keep everything in check. We hope you understand that our rules are in place to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable stay. NO SMOKING We kindly request that all guests refrain from smoking indoors, including tobacco, marijuana, vapes, or any other substance with an odor. Smoking is allowed outside of the building, but please dispose of cigarette butts properly. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our home smoke-free.
