This is my personal home in an 1890s Worker's Cottage, originally built for laborers in the Chicago Stockyards. It's offered below the going rate because looking after 2 friendly cats is part of the deal. This arrangement is not for everyone, but it comes with laughs and snuggles. Picture directions + all supplies provided. Great neighborhood with lots of green space - walk to everything you need! Super fast WiFi Free parking; Get downtown in 20 min by L train or via any of 5 nearby buses The space The house was built in 1890 and has been completely remodeled to keep the best vintage bits while embracing modern comfort. Vintage fans will dig the tile work in the kitchen. Bookworms may prefer the reading nook or soaking bath tub. Grab a book off the shelf and relax! The back yard is shared with the family next door, who have outdoor cats. Lawn chairs + gas grill and utensils available I'll be away during your stay, but I'm available through the app for all your questions, and my neighbor can help you with anything that can't be handled through the app. Note that there is a mother-in-law apartment downstairs, so you may encounter other guests in the laundry area or around the rear entrance. There's no TV, but there's commercial wifi for up to 15 devices, so bring your own device and stream whatever you want! Guest access Free street parking is usually available on the block. Note that in Chicago - generally speaking- a spot within 2 blocks of your destination is a good spot. Once you're here, you can walk to all the basics- groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, park, etc. Rolling cart available to make your shopping easier.
