Clean, comfortable, well located. The kitchen is properly equipped, which almost never happens. The kitchen could use a couple more pans.

A loft in an 1850s warehouse on a cobbled Old Port street, with stone walls two feet thick, timber beams, a kitchen along one wall and a bed in the window bay. The building has a lift and a very good bakery at the bottom. The waterfront, the Bonsecours market and the Notre-Dame basilica are all within five minutes on foot; the metro at Champ-de-Mars three. In winter the Old Port has skating and a sauna on the ice; in summer, terraces and the fireworks. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, room for 2. Bedroom 1: 1 queen bed. There is a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, a proper desk and air conditioning in every room, and fast wifi throughout. Expect proper heating, thick duvets and a drying rack by the door. Check-in is from 3 pm with a keypad on the door; checkout is by 11 am. Paid parking is a short walk away. No pets, please. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am, as the neighbours live here all year.

Check-in was smooth and the instructions were clear. The bed is extremely comfortable. The bed is extremely comfortable. Marie-Ève told us about the Old Port in winter and a bagel at St-Viateur; both were excellent. Would stay again.

A perfect few days for the two of us in Montreal. Special mention for the 1850s stone walls. A real coffee machine, properly stocked. Small thing, big difference. We will be back.

Old Montreal is the right part of Montreal to stay in, and this is the right house in it. Warm as toast inside even when it was freezing out. Marie-Ève told us about the Old Port in winter and a bagel at St-Viateur; both were excellent. Our favourite thing was the 1850s stone walls.

I worked from here for 10 days. Fast wifi, a proper chair, good light: everything a laptop week needs. We loved the Old Port in winter and a bagel at St-Viateur, both close by. The bed is extremely comfortable. The best kind of office.
