After a years remodel, our downstairs apartment is ready for you! Across from the best surfing beach in the state, 'the Washout,' this 1 Bedroom King suite has everything you need for an easy getaway to the island. Just a few steps to the beach, a bike ride to great restaurants, or 15 minutes drive to historic Charleston, this private spot is perfect for couples, surfers, beach lovers, or solo travelers. Please read additional details below. The space This downstairs guest suite is generously proportioned (650sqft) and features a separate bedroom with king size bed, a sitting area with 60" smart TV, and a spacious kitchen with high-quality cookware, utensils, appliances, and bar accessories. We have fast wifi (with extender) along with a 4K Apple TV device ready for your subscriptions and streaming services. Your private entrance to the right side of the home includes a shaded sitting area, two adirondack charis with beautiful sunset views of the Folly River, and an outdoor shower with hot/cold water. There is an easy public beach access ramp just a few houses over. We provide two folding beach chairs, cooler, and a soft-top surfboard for your enjoyment on the beach. *We don't however provide beach towels, beach blankets, umbrellas, shade canopy, etc. so please bring your own. We kindly ask that do not take our bath towels out to the beach / leave them sandy. ** READ: We are a lively family living full-time in the upstairs unit. Our children are 5 and 3, and like most young kids, they are active and energetic. You will hear normal family noise at times, including footsteps, voices, and occasional backyard play during the day. This is a 1960s beach home and sound does travel. We observe quiet hours from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am and are very mindful during that time. Outside of quiet hours, we cannot guarantee a silent environment. This space is best suited for active travelers who plan to spend their days enjoying Folly Beach, exploring Charleston, surfing, fishing, biking or being outdoors. It is not a good fit for guests seeking a silent retreat or those who spend most of the day inside watching television. If daytime noise from an active family may impact your stay, we kindly encourage you to book a standalone property instead. As noted in the listing we do have security cameras on the property.
