The Houseboat on Tybee Island

Located at the Tybee Island Marina on Lazaretto Creek, along the western boundary of Tybee Island, The Houseboat offers spectacular sunrise and sunset views nestled in a serene spot between the beach on Tybee or a day exploring Savannah. Due to its location on a floating dock in a tidal creek, with low tides making for a difficult/steep transition between the floating and stationary docks, The Houseboat is not ideal for guests with mobility issues. The space Originally a 1968 39-foot Seagoing Houseboat, The Houseboat on Tybee Island has been converted to welcome you into a full kitchen and fridge/freezer, a table for 2 and a couch for 3, a 55" Smart TV and electric fireplace. The back half offers a full shower, sink w/ vanity and a Queen Nectar memory foam mattress featuring Nectar's adjustable bed frame with "whisper-quiet" massage. Guest access I will meet you when you arrive at the Tybee Island Marina, walk you down to The Houseboat and provide you an initial tour and intro. I live "next door" so will be available to answer any follow-up questions! Other things to note The Houseboat is the least boat-like of boats, but she still floats and is susceptible to the tides and waves. Seasickness is a risk. Please prepare accordingly. Past guests have noted concerns regarding: Distance from the parking lot to The Houseboat - it is 1/10th of a mile from the farthest parking spot at the marina to the front door, which can be a bit of a hike when transporting luggage; dock carts are available and I am always willing to help when meet my guests at arrival. State of the Tybee Island Marina - this is a working marina that also hosts several fishing charters, a shrimp boat and jet ski/pontoon boat rentals, and the on-site restaurant, Bubba Gumbo's, is regularly working through a wait list to feed everyone... while it typically stays quiet down the dock where The Houseboat floats, people will often walk the dock while waiting for a table - the marina has a lot of character, but that character can trip you if you aren't careful... be aware of uneven or loose boards and other tripping hazards on the dock
