Other things to note This home is part of New Orleans’ long, layered history. Built over 100 years ago, the earliest known and most original owner dates back to the late 1800s—a local butcher raising six children here. Over time, the home has been thoughtfully updated, including the addition of the upstairs level—where guests stay—and a garden courtyard, blending historic character with modern livability. I’ve been a New Orleans resident for over 15 years and am a longtime Jazz, Swing music, and Mardi Gras enthusiast. I previously competed in Lindy Hop—the original form of swing dancing rooted in early jazz culture—and still deeply appreciate the music, movement, and traditions that shape this city. I love learning about New Orleans history and culture and enjoy sharing that passion with guests. You’re always welcome to ask for recommendations on places to go, music to hear, parades to catch, or neighborhoods to explore. While I do work long hours, I’m accessible as needed and happy to help when I can. This space is well suited for travelers who appreciate staying in a home with history, character, and a connection to the culture that makes New Orleans so unique.
