Want a private chef to prepare your catch? No problem! There is no other property like this on Tybee. This luxurious property offers three bedrooms/2 baths, a newly remodeled kitchen, open floor plan living area and spacious outdoor living/dining area. Enjoy all this property has to offer for a wonderful getaway! The space Horsepen Cottage is a charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath retreat nestled at the peaceful intersection of the back river and the ocean. This cozy yet spacious cottage boasts an open concept living area, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a comfortable living room, all designed for relaxation and family gatherings. One thing you will notice are the all-natural bamboo walls from a bamboo farm in the Savannah area. The original house was a pine cabin built by the Army for a dive school in WWII. The house burned in 1960 and was rebuilt to the current cottage (with some improvements of course!). A standout feature is the expansive screened-in porch, offering a dining space with breathtaking views of the water — perfect for enjoying meals while watching the sunset. Outside, a private dock provides a serene spot for fishing, unwinding, or simply taking in the unique, picturesque surroundings. Whether you're looking to explore the waterways or just enjoy the stunning views, Horsepen Cottage offers an unforgettable coastal getaway. Other things to note We offer a variety of services through our concierge business which you can add on to your reservation if interested. We offer pre-stocking your unit with groceries, charcuterie boxes and we can also decorate for special occasions and provide special occasion food, such as cakes, cookies, etc. We can also make reservations for a variety of things from tours to private chef's and in-house massages. We are pet-friendly with a non-refundable $150 pet fee. We accept dogs only and up to 75 lbs. Please clean up after your pet (yard waste) and use the provided covers for furniture. Please inform us at the time of booking if you are bringing your dog. **Please note, we provide "start-up" supplies such as a few trash bags, a roll of paper towels, a couple of rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, a few dishwasher pods and a few washing machine pods. If you anticipate you might need more of these items, you are encouraged to bring it. We are located in the hot & humid south, near the water where bugs love to be too! Please be aware that you may encounter our local bug-"the palmetto" bug at some point during you stay. This is not a cleanliness issue but an environmental one and something that cannot be helped. The unit is sprayed on a regular, monthly basis.
