High Tide (unit 122) is the upstairs two-bedroom, and it's the one with the balcony. It sits on the second floor of a restored old beach house one short block from the Atlantic — about a hundred yards, call it a two-minute walk with a towel over your shoulder. The space Both bedrooms have a queen with a memory foam mattress, cotton linens, a choice of firm or soft pillows, and a sound machine. There's a full bath plus a half bath, which is what keeps four people moving in the morning. The living space, kitchen and breakfast bar are all open to each other, so whoever is cooking is still part of the conversation. The kitchen has everything you need to eat in rather than out every night — full dishes and cookware, a Keurig with pods, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, and a blender. Washer and dryer are in the unit, so a week's trip needs one bag. Beach towels and chairs are provided. The WiFi is fast, which matters if someone in the group is working while everyone else is at the beach. Guest access Keyless check-in on your own schedule, one dedicated parking space, and easy free street parking. You will have access to all the house and can use its amenities. Deck outside is also yours! Beach is just 2 min away. Other things to note This building has stood a block from the Atlantic for a long time, and we've kept its character rather than gutting it — so you'll find original details, a floor that isn't perfectly level, and the small quirks that come with an older beach building. Everything works, everything is spotless, and the beds are genuinely comfortable. But it's a well-loved older building rather than new construction, and sound travels the way it does in older buildings. Heron sits on the ground floor with a rental unit above it, so you'll hear footsteps overhead now and then. If you're after brand-new finishes and total silence, this probably isn't your match. If you want an honest Jax Beach place you can walk out of and be in the ocean two minutes later, you'll be very happy here.
