The Kitchen Our compact kitchen is set up for simple meals and snacks and includes: * Keurig coffee maker * Microwave * Toaster oven * Hot plates for stovetop cooking *Pots & Pans and Kitchen Essentials * Full Refrigerator & Freezer * Basic cookware and dining essentials Please note that, in keeping with the cottage’s smaller 1935 footprint, there is no traditional oven or dishwasher. Outdoor Living One of our favorite spaces is the covered back porch, where you’ll find a table with seating for six—perfect for morning coffee, an afternoon glass of wine, or winding down after exploring the Verde Valley. We’ve also created a welcoming bar area for gathering and relaxing during your stay. Parking and Location Main Cottage on Mingus is located within the shared parking area associated with Main Stage Bar. Guests have access to a designated parking spot near the cottage, while the surrounding parking area is shared with bar patrons. Parking activity may be busier during bar hours, especially on evenings and weekends. The cottage is also within walking distance of Main Stage Bar & Naughty Burgers, making it easy to enjoy a drink, live entertainment, or a night out without needing to drive. Just walk through the parking lot back to the cottage :) You are also next door to Sinful Sodas & Sweets soda shop. Because of its location near Main Stage Sports Bar, and shared parking area, guests may occasionally hear music, conversation, or other activity from the back patio, particularly during evening hours. The cottage is also a cozy home base for exploring Cottonwood, Old Town, nearby wineries, Sedona, Jerome, and the beautiful Verde Valley. Whether you’re here for wine tasting, hiking, a weekend with friends, or simply a Arizona escape, you’ll have a comfortable little cottage to come home to. Historic charm, cozy spaces, convenient parking, and a great location—welcome to The Main Cottage on Mingus. Guest access The entire home is yours. The lot is on a shared parking lot. However you have your own designated parking. Other things to note A Little History of the Cottage Built in 1935, this little cottage has nearly a century of stories within its walls—and remarkably, has had only two owners. The home was originally built by a woman affectionately known as “Granny,” who raised her two children here in this cozy two-bedroom cottage. Out back, you’ll still find the original barnwood shed, a small piece of the property’s early history that remains today. Years later, the cottage became home to the Sisterhood Foundation, a local organization dedicated to supporting and empowering women in our community. The current owners have been involved with the organization since its early days and helped restore the cottage, giving the Foundation a welcoming place to gather, connect, and help local women and local charities. Today, the cottage begins another chapter as Main Cottage on Mingus. Our roots run deep in this community, and we’re excited to share this special little piece of Cottonwood history with you.
