Welcome to your private creekside retreat in Wears Valley, the quiet side of the Smokies, bordering Great Smoky Mountains National Park, 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 25 from Gatlinburg. This is one listing, two ways to sleep: the entire lower level of a mountain home PLUS your own private camper parked steps away under its own pavilion. Sleeps 8 across 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 living areas, a full kitchen, a private hot tub, free access to the community pool and fishing pond, a fire pit under a pergola, and a creek with its own waterfall running right past the fire pit. What Makes This Place Unique: Most cabins give you a deck. This one gives you a private creek with a waterfall and your own hiking trail, and the land backs right up to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The fire pit sits under a pergola at the water's edge, so you fall asleep to the sound of the waterfall and wake up to it. The camper is the part guests will not stop talking about: a real second space with its own bedroom, bath, kitchen area and sofa bed, so grandparents, teens or a second couple get their own door and their own quiet. Between the house and the camper, the group is together for dinner and the fire, and apart when it matters. Your Own Private Level: You will have the entire lower level of the home to yourselves, with your own private entrance through the French doors, your own covered patio, hot tub, fire pit and the camper. The upstairs is a separate residence with its own entrance where our quiet long-term neighbors live. They keep to themselves, and most guests never notice they are there. If anything, it means the property is looked after year-round and never sits empty. Sleeping Arrangements (Sleeps 8): House: Bedroom 1 with a queen bed. Bedroom 2 with a queen bed. Living room with a sleeper sofa. Camper: private bedroom with a queen bed, sleeper sofa, and a dinette that converts to a bed. 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths (one in the house, one in the camper). Kitchen and Dining: Full kitchen in the house with a large island, breakfast bar, coffee station and everything you need to cook for the whole group. Gas grill on the patio for cooking outside. The camper has its own kitchenette for coffee and quick meals. Pool and Pond, Included: Guests get free access to the community pool, hot tub and stocked pond. Locals pay a yearly membership for this; you get it included with your stay, no extra charge. The pool is a full-size lap pool with lounge chairs, a pavilion and a separate round soaking pool, open seasonally. The pond is catch and release, bring a rod. Very few Wears Valley rentals can offer a creek, a hot tub, a camper AND a pool on one booking. This is one of them. Outdoor Living: Private hot tub on the covered deck. Fire pit under a pergola beside the creek. Cornhole on the lawn. Covered patio with string lights and seating. Front porch seating. Creek with a small waterfall you can walk right up to. Free gravel parking for multiple vehicles, trucks and trailers welcome. Wears Valley Location: You are in Wears Valley, the peaceful side of the Smokies and one of the most sought-after addresses in the area, on Cove Mountain Road with the national park at your back door. Walk the private trail along the creek, then drive minutes to the trailheads. Metcalf Bottoms and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance are minutes away by the back road. Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, The Island and the Parkway are about 15 minutes. Gatlinburg is about 25. Townsend and Cades Cove make an easy day trip. Good To Know: The creek and hot fireplace glass make this home best suited for adults and older children. No pets. The primary guest must be 25 or older. The homeowners have cats on the property. No smoking, no parties. Winter note: the camper is closed in January and February because its water lines can freeze. Stays during those two months are the lower level of the home only, which sleeps 6. The Catch: There is only one of these. One house, one camper, one creek. Once the calendar fills for fall, it is full. Guest access Full private access to the entire lower level of the home and the camper: both house bedrooms, the house bathroom, living room, full kitchen, laundry, covered patio, hot tub, fire pit, creek, cornhole, gas grill and free parking, plus the camper with its own bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living area. Self check-in with a keypad. The upstairs residence is separate and not part of the rental. The camper is closed in January and February due to freezing pipes; those stays are the home only, sleeps 6. Other things to note Self check-in. Check-in 4 PM / check-out 11 AM. Free parking on-site, room for trucks and trailers. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors installed. No smoking, no parties, no pets. Primary guest must be 25+. The property has a creek and a fireplace with hot glass, so it is best suited for adults and older children. The homeowners have cats on the property. The lower level of the home, the patio, hot tub, fire pit and the camper are exclusively yours. The upstairs is a separate residence with its own entrance where quiet long-term neighbors live.
