A quiet room, artist's retreat

Located in very cool Dickinson Narrows/Pennsport area of Philadelphia, convenient to sports arenas, Historical areas, Center City (all within one mile), 2 guest rooms being offered, 1 small, full bath. Open, creative aesthetic floor plan. The space Come home from a stimulating day of exploring the fabulous City of Brotherly Love to this oasis of a home. Stained glass and original art abounds throughout the house; a serene garden awaits you outside the kitchen door. Guest access There are 2 guest bedrooms. This particular listed guest room (the studio) has a beautiful maple, amish handmade murphy bed, full size. There are hooks/hangers on the back of the bedroom door and limited shelving for your use. Gratis local-made soap and use of 'spa-type' waffle bathrobes provided Philly-Quaker values: simple simple simple. This is a wifi'd house, however there is no TV (being a place of quiet, an oasis). No more than 2 guests per booking of either guest room, please. You are welcomed to use condiments in fridge and I will try to have coffee available for you to make in my french press so you can get out the door in the mornings... :-) You have full access to the kitchen, living room and garden. During your stay My friend Becky or I will help you check in. We are available to you if the need arises. The block captain across the street is kind and helpful. It's up to the guest's discretion how much interfacing they want with the host. Other things to note The best croissant this side of Paris is a short stroll away, authentic Michelin rated Mexican (10th and Cross) and Pho Restaurant (Thai cuisine) a few blocks. Society Hill and Historical Revolutionary buildings in walking distance. The Delaware River, Penn's Landing is 5 blocks away. Camden Aquarium a ferry trip away at Penns Landing.
