An A-frame on the Hillside above Anchorage, at the edge of the Chugach State Park, with a wall of glass facing the city lights, the inlet and, on clear winter nights, the aurora from the loft bed. Two bedrooms (one up, one down), a wood stove, a deck with a fire pit and spruce all around. Flattop's trailhead is five minutes up the road; downtown twenty minutes down. Moose are regular, bears occasional; both keep their distance. The sky is the reason to stay here. The A-frame sleeps 4 across 2 bedrooms (bedroom 1: 1 king bed; bedroom 2: 1 queen bed, 1 single bed), with 1 bathroom. There is a washing machine, a proper desk and a wood stove, and fast wifi throughout. Expect proper heating, thick duvets and a drying rack by the door. Check-in is from 4 pm with a lockbox by the door; checkout is by 11 am. There is off-street parking for your car. No pets, please. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am, as the neighbours live here all year.
