Fresh linens and towels provided as well as a starter pack of k-cups, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, dishwasher pods and laundry pods. Hair dryer included in each bathroom. 2. Hot Tub: The hot tub is drained, sanitize, and refilled with fresh water before every guest's arrival. Chemicals are added and balanced. Due to the high volume of fresh water, the heating process may still be underway at check-in. Depending on the outdoor temperature, reaching +100°F may take until late evening or overnight. We appreciate your patience as we prioritize hot tub hygiene. 3. Chalet has central heating and air conditioning. It is on well water (with a full softening system) and septic. 4. Outdoor surveillance has four cameras facing the driveway, back, front and side of the property. 5. Use of maintenance closet, owner's closets and crawl space are not permitted. 6. $300 security deposit hold (refundable assuming no damages) and signature on the rental agreement are required for booking. The terms in the rental agreement are not negotiable so please inquire if you'd like to read it before booking. Check in details, including the cabin access code, will not be provided until this step is complete. 7. A late check out fee of $100 per every 30 minutes past 10:00am EST will be assessed to guests who do not check out on time. Standard check out time is 10:00am EST. 8. Host promptly responds daily between 9am and 9pm. Messages outside these hours may experience a longer response time. Guest access Each guest will be provided a unique custom access code to the front door. Code will be generated and communicated at least 48 hours before check in. Guests will not have access to the maintenance closets, owner's closets or crawl space. Other things to note Roads Our mountain chalet is conveniently located just off the main road through Wears Valley. Please note that the roads are curvy and it can get very dark after sunset as there is minimal street lighting. For your safety, please plan to arrive in daylight if you are not comfortable navigating the mountain roads after dark. 4-wheel drive is not necessary unless we are experiencing extreme weather conditions. Yard - The front and side yard as well as the driveway are downward sloping, it is not level. The only level part of the yard is the fire pit area. Security Cameras There are four external cameras located on-site, which face the driveway, back, front, and side of the house. These are monitored regularly. To ensure your privacy, there are no cameras facing the main deck area. Noise One trade-off of the convenient proximity to Wears Valley Road is the minor white noise that you may be able to hear towards the front of the chalet, both outside and inside. Well Water The chalet runs on well water which is filtered through a salt filtration system to soften the water. Although it is safe to drink, we recommend you bring bottled water for drinking and making coffee. Please note that the chalet does not provide any water filtration devices on-site. Septic System The chalet operates on a septic system. Only septic-safe toilet paper is approved to be flushed. No other items should be flushed, including wipes and feminine hygiene products. Wildlife and Critters Please note that our cabin is located in the heart of the mountains and there will be wildlife and critters around. The chalet is treated by a licensed pest control service monthly, but there remains a possibility that a critter could make its way inside. Lady bugs sometimes make their way onto the main level but are harmless. There have been multiple bear and bear cub sightings in the neighborhood. There is a possibility that you’ll encounter snakes, spiders, and other wildlife during your stay. Please take care not to leave food or trash outside and use the black bear trash bins to dispose of your trash. Cell Service Cell service can be intermittent inside the chalet. We provide Xfinity high-speed wifi for your convenience. Please enable wifi calling before your trip. Holidays No check-in/check-out on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day.
