The space This home is located just half a mile from the Truckee River, nestled among tall pines on a large double lot. In this park-like setting, you'll not only have ample space to relax and spread out, you'll also find all sorts of provided equipment - beach chairs, umbrellas, an EZ- UP canopy, a cooler, portable BBQ and other picnic items - to use when you decide to get out and explore. As you enter, you'll be greeted by an amazing open living area with vaulted beam ceilings, exposed natural wood, and windows on three sides that bring in the sunlight and views of the peaceful wooded neighborhood. The living room is freshly updated by professional local designer Cynthia Wigart, with a modern- rustic theme featuring plush new seating, two recliners, a large flatscreen TV (with Apple TV and a Blu-ray/DVD player), thoughtful decor touches and a gas-burning stove. The renovated kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, details of granite and richly hued wood, a live-edge center island with seating for 4 and space to dine at a circular table as well. We provide a wide assortment of high quality cookware, utensils, dish-ware and small appliances in a well organized layout to cover most all of your cooking needs. There's both a private deck out front with a 7pc dinette set and retractable awning, and a forested yard out back where you can barbecue, dine beneath the trees, play horseshoes or corn hole and tell stories around the gas fire pit at night. Enjoy your morning coffee and fresh mountain air on a bistro set located on a private patio off the master bedroom, all while taking in fresh mountain air and the smell of towering pines above. For the cycling enthusiasts, there's discreet bicycle parking behind the cabin to keep our toys out of view from the street and passers-by. For added security we provide our guests with a long cable to capture multiple bikes, a keyed padlock and even an area to hang helmets, camelbacks, etc. We get it...we love to ride too! Additional amenities include flatscreen TVs in two of the three bedrooms, free WiFi throughout the house, and a private washer/dryer. Guest access You'll have access to the entire cabin and outdoor space except for a locked owner closet, detached shed, and owners' kayaks. Other things to note THINGS TO KNOW: Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, coyotes, raccoons, mice, and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home. Do not use the gas fire pit (or any open flame) during red flag warnings. No smoking or vaping on the premises. House has central heat and gas heating stove in the living room. As with most homes in Tahoe, there is no air conditioning. We do provide portable fans however, for the few hot days we get in the summer. Guests staying at a South Lake Tahoe rental must adhere to all City Ordinances. In addition to noise, trash disposal and parking, MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY MAY NOT BE EXCEEDED AT ANY TIME. These limits are set by the county. Fines of up to $2,000 will be imposed by The City of South Lake Tahoe, and/ or El Dorado County without warning, for any violations and may also result in guest removal. Be aware that these policies are STRICTLY ENFORCED by local authorities. 2 dogs are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific host approval. The yard area is fenced on 3 sides only, with the front being open to the street. Parking notes: There is free parking for 2 vehicles in the driveway. During snow removal periods, guests' vehicles must be parked in the driveway. Vehicles parked on the street in the winter are routinely towed.
