Wonderful 2 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront condo! Our property is a first-floor unit that is just steps from the beautiful shore. It is located in the sunny and vibrant beach town of Kihei. The complex, Kahuale Makai, provides great amenities available to our guests such as; a pool, a jacuzzi, a volleyball court, shuffleboard decks, and a putting green. There are BBQ grills with picnic tables that create a lovely ambiance with evening tiki torches, palm trees, and amazing sunsets. The space The local area is walkable and popular for its beaches. This part of paradise is quieter than the big hotel resort complexes and is designed to offer visitors the opportunity to truly relax and take in the aloha experience. Our property is located in an oceanfront condo complex, this particular unit does not have direct ocean views. The condo offers an equipped kitchen with dishware, blender, coffeemaker, and all utensils including everything you need to BBQ. The dining area contains a table that seats two and four barstools. In the living room area, there is a comfortable sofa with a new queen-size sleeper sofa and a flat-screen TV. The unit comfortably sleeps four but can sleep up to six guests. The master bedroom contains a new King size bed and has a full ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom also has a sliding door leading straight out to the Lanai and complex grounds. The second bedroom contains a new Queen size bed and also has a full ensuite bathroom. The complex maintains a convenient laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers if needed. This property has a 1.5-mile-long beach right in front, there are more than a dozen other sandy coves and beaches nearby along the arid south Maui coastline. Within a few minutes, drive are the lovely postcard-perfect beaches of Keawakapu, Kamaole II, Kamaole III, Charley Young, and Sugar Beach. Maui boasts more miles of accessible beach than any other island in Hawaii with over 80 beaches spanning 30 miles that include white, black, and rare red sand beaches. There are many great restaurants nearby. Our favorites include Coconut’s Fish Cafe, Monsoon India, Nalu’s South Shore Grill, Wow Wow Lemonade (go there for the acai bowls), Miso Phat Sushi, Home Maid Cafe (the best malasadas), and Maui Pie for dessert. If you prefer to cook, there are a few grocery stores close by and multiple grills on site. The county Waipuilani Park runs between the ocean and the condos, and is a beautiful, open, grassy area with many activities to enjoy. Public tennis courts, pickleball courts, and volleyball are open to enjoy as you look out to the ocean just beyond. The saline pool, wading pool, and jacuzzi are positioned in the middle garden area, along with the 5 barbecue grills, and putting green. On the oceanfront lawn, you will find people enjoying games like bocce ball, cornhole, chipping golf balls, exercising, yoga, and sitting under the shade trees, absorbing the ambiance. Sunday morning specials often include watching a local hula halau practice. At the beach, in front of Kauhale Makai, you often find kayakers, stand-up paddlers, fishing, and beach walkers enjoying the calm mornings and long stretches of the beach. In the afternoon, the kiteboarders and windsurfers take advantage of the wind and you can watch them zip in and out of the waves. Whale-watching from the beach is always a thrill.
