Settle into a cozy chair with a book, stretch out on a yoga mat, work on balance, or get in a little strength training with the kettlebells. Ceiling fans, salt lamps, flameless candles, and comfortable spaces make it easy to create your own little reset—whether that means ten minutes of stretching or an entire quiet afternoon. The game room, affectionately known as "Grandpa's Garage," is the opposite kind of retreat. It's made for competition, laughter, and keeping everyone entertained after a day in the mountains, with ping-pong, foosball, Pop-A-Shot basketball, giant Connect Four, cornhole, jumbo Jenga, puzzles, board games, and a large smart TV. The dining and living spaces bring everyone back together. Gather around the large dining table for a family meal, game night, cards, or takeout after a long day exploring. The seasonal gas-log fireplace and comfortable seating make the main level especially inviting in cooler months. And outside, the mountain-view front porch and firepit are made for coffee in the morning, cocktails at sunset, s'mores after dark, and the kind of conversations that seem to happen more easily when you're away from home. Each bedroom features a comfortable memory-foam mattress, protective bedbug and allergen covers, multiple pillow options, a smart TV, nightstands with power and USB charging, and a twin roll-away bed stored in the closet. The rollaways have a 250-lb maximum weight capacity and are most comfortable for children and preteens rather than adults. They are a convenient option for families who need additional sleeping flexibility. Bathrooms Firefly has 2.75 bathrooms: Primary suite ensuite full bathroom Main-level full bathroom Lower-level 3/4 bathroom A 1-2 day starter supply of household essentials is provided, including toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, Keurig cups, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, and hand soap. Linens and towels, including pool towels, are provided. Guests should bring personal toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. KITCHEN & DINING The bright, comfortable kitchen is fully equipped for everything from quick breakfasts to full family dinners. You'll find updated appliances, cookware, bakeware, utensils, and small appliances including an Instant Pot, blender, toaster, and hand mixer. The dedicated coffee station offers Keurig, drip coffee, and French press options, so everyone can make their morning cup their own way. Just off the kitchen, the dining area provides plenty of room for the whole group to gather for meals, cards, puzzles, or a competitive board game. THE WELLNESS ROOM Need a little quiet time? Our newly created Wellness Room gives you a dedicated place to stretch, move, read, rest, or simply reset without leaving the house. OUTDOOR SPACE The front porch is one of Firefly's favorite gathering spots, with rocking chairs and seating overlooking Cove Mountain and the valley. Enjoy coffee while the valley wakes up, watch the light change across the mountains in the evening, or settle in with a good book. The mountain-view firepit provides another place to gather after dark. Bring some marshmallows, settle into the Adirondack chairs, and enjoy a Smoky Mountain evening under the stars. The rear covered porch includes the gas BBQ grill, conveniently located just outside the kitchen for easy outdoor cooking. The property sits on approximately one acre, with a large open yard where kids can stretch their legs and everyone can enjoy a little fresh mountain air. Firepit use may occasionally be restricted during local burn bans. Guests are responsible for observing current burn restrictions. COMMUNITY POOL & FISHING POND Guests receive complimentary seasonal access to the community pool and café at Honeysuckle Meadows, along with the catch-and-release fishing pond. The amenities are less than a mile from Firefly and are generally open May 1 through September 30, weather permitting. Pool towels are provided in the hall closet at Firefly. Please do not leave them at the pool. EASY ACCESS One of Firefly's biggest advantages is what you don't have to navigate to get here. The home is reached by paved roads and a paved driveway, without the steep, narrow mountain roads that can make some Smoky Mountain properties intimidating for first-time visitors. LOCATION Firefly is tucked into Wears Cove, just below the Foothills Parkway, in a quiet neighborhood of homes on larger lots. It's peaceful enough to feel like a retreat, but conveniently located for exploring the Smokies. Guest access ᨒᨒ PARKING & GUEST ACCESS ᨒᨒ Even though you will find yourself immersed within the beauty and rugged adventure of the Smokies, Firefly is on a spacious acre in a quiet neighborhood with easy, gentle access any time of year with paved roads and driveway (no steep, treacherous mountain roads or confusing navigation through twists and turns and changing road names). There are two parking areas able to accommodate a number of vehicles: the primary upper parking area is at the back of the house where the rear entrance with keyless smart-lock is located (only 4 steps up on this covered porch), and the large secondary parking area is just outside the lower level game room (this is the first area visible on your way up the driveway). The smart-lock is programmed with your guest code and is active in coordination with your reservation and the established check-in/check-out times.
